Parenting Plan Modification

Often, modifications of parenting plans are extremely emotionally taxing for the parents, but in particular, for the children involved. Although we have represented mothers and fathers in successful efforts to modify their parenting plans, our focus upon the children's well-being does not waver. Specific strategies to avoid involving the child in the conflict between the parents are discussed with the client as appropriate. Additionally, we will suggest alternatives such as parenting classes and counseling to help make the client the best possible parent they can be, regardless of the outcome of the litigation. After all, the parent-child relationship will exist long after the court battle is over.
